Arizona resident Gwynn Morgan finds endless inspiration in the exciting history, diverse natural beauty and rich and varied cultural heritage of the southwest. She discovered the twin wonders of reading and writing in early childhood, uncovering the marvelous truth seen by her Celtic ancestors a millennia or more ago that in words lay the most powerful and potent of magic! Gwynn currently lives in a rural area in Arizona's Cochise County, locale of Tombstone and Fort Huachuca, among other points of interest. She shares her rustic adobe brick home with two canine 'kids' for whom she serves as chauffer and household staff. One brother, three grown kids and a slew of grandkids and great-grands make up the rest of her family.
From work as a horse trainer and ranch hand for a few years, she went to college and then began a career as a civilian employee of the Army and Air Force. After retirement from this, she settled into a second career centering on women's fiction. A self-styled Renaissance woman, Gwynn refuses to specialize or restrict herself to any one or ten activities, saying a well-rounded life makes for a more interesting author. She enjoys art and crafts, lapidary, bird watching, gardening, target shooting, astronomy and photography to name just a few of her varied interests.
Her latest non-writing project is restoring the 1966 Thunderbird coupe she recently acquired. She says she always wanted one of the original 1950s porthole window T-Birds but this is the closest she has been able to find at a price she could afford. The car needs a lot of work but she swears it will be a real showpiece in time. Don't be surprised if some custom car tidbits pop up in a new book one of these days!
In addition to her fiction, Gwynn is self-publishing some books of poetry. She found that her mother wrote poetry when young and both Gwynn's brothers have done song lyrics, which are just poetry set to music. She's getting all this accumulated into some books, to be sold only as e-books for now, and also editing a collection of her father's stories about outdoor adventures, some previously published in the 1945-65 period but many never before in print. Yes, the Morgans have always been a writing family!
Gwynn currently has nine novels in print with more in the queue for release in the coming year. She swears that as long as readers enjoy her tales and she is able to do so, she will never stop writing. Watch for news on future releases both here and in the newsletter she shares with erotic romance author Deirdre O'Dare.
